Attendance:
GCA accepts students who are from ages 6-18 years of age. The Student must be 6 before August 1 of the school year in which they are applying. We will not admit 5 year olds nor do we have a Kindergarten program. Miss Mason was very clear that the first 6 years of a Childs life be spent growing and being a child. We have some recommendations of what you can do to cultivate an atmosphere of learning in your home with your child under the age of 6, but we will not recommend any formal lessons prior to the Childs 6th birthday. Our grade levels and approximate ages are as follows (we know that some children will have birthdays in the middle of the school year and that these may not line up perfectly, but here is a general idea):
Form 1b (1st grade) 6 years old
From 1a (2nd grade) 7 years old
Form 1a (3rd grade) 8 years old
